{"id":2126,"date":"2023-03-13T12:41:11","date_gmt":"2023-03-13T12:41:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/researchoffice\/?p=2126"},"modified":"2026-01-09T12:45:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-09T12:45:08","slug":"publish-open-access-with-acm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/researchoffice\/publish-open-access-with-acm\/","title":{"rendered":"Publish Open Access with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>UPDATED: JANUARY 2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ACM OPEN enables all corresponding authors affiliated with our institution to publish scholarly articles with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) on a completely open access basis without needing to pay any individual article processing charges (APCs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All research articles, conference proceedings and magazines with a corresponding author from the University of Westminster are made OA upon publication, with the corresponding author being given the option of selecting a <a href=\"https:\/\/libguides.westminster.ac.uk\/copyrightresearchers\/creativecommons\">CC-BY licence<\/a> for article sharing and reuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Check the list: <a href=\"https:\/\/libraries.acm.org\/subscriptions-access\/publications-eligible-for-oa\">ACM Publications Eligible for Open Access Publishing Under ACM OPEN<\/a> for further details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Please visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/dl.acm.org\/\">Digital Library<\/a>&nbsp;for the most up-to-date list of ACM publications.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Following transmission of the manuscript to ACM production, the corresponding author will be asked to complete the assignment of rights and permissions on our eRights form.
