A new deadline for submissions will be announced at least eight months in advance to give institutions time to prepare, once the full impact of the current situation on universities has become clearer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the moment, the staff census date of 31 July 2020 remains unchanged<\/li>\n<li>The REF team have indicated that they are now \u201cworking on the adapted details of the framework,\u201d and will launch a light-touch consultation on this in the future. But full allowance will be made for the impact of the coronavirus on preparations for the exercise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Members of the REF team at Westminster, including UoA Leads, are now working remotely.
