Sunday 25 October\u00a0is an annual, global event to raise awareness about open access and to advocate for open access to be adopted as the norm in scholarship and research.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"theme\">Theme<i class=\"c_a_1310c973 css-100\"><\/i><\/h4>\n<p>This year&#8217;s theme, &#8216;Open with Purpose: Taking Action to Build Structural Equity and Inclusion&#8217;, provides an opportunity to coordinate in taking action to make openness the default for research and to ensure that equity is at the centre of this work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"what-s-on-during-open-access-week\">What&#8217;s on\u00a0during Open Access Week\u00a0<i class=\"c_a_1310c973 css-100\"><\/i><\/h4>\n<p>Throughout Open Access Week, look out for daily posts from the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/researchoffice\/\">Research and\u00a0Knowledge Exchange Office blog<\/a> on open access publication at the University of Westminster and the support we provide to researchers to achieve openness.<\/p>\n<p>You will\u00a0be able to learn more about open access monographs, openness and practice-based research, sharing and licensing your publications using the University of Westminster\u2019s institutional repository, searching for open access literature and open data, and how guidelines published by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gida-global.org\/\">Global Indigenous Data Alliance<\/a> can help social and political scientists working with First Nation and Indigenous Peoples to work towards openness ethically and responsibly.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"further-information\">Further Information<i class=\"c_a_1310c973 css-100\"><\/i><\/h4>\n<p>Follow the Research &amp;
