Wanting to experience something that little bit extra this Halloween? Then look no further, our suggestions for this Hallow-weekend are all spooktacular…

For the sweet tooth – The Royal Lancaster, Lancaster terrace (26th October–31st October). A Halloween afternoon tea inspired by 1960s cult horror movies, think Psycho and Black Sunday. This feast includes haunted black forest mousse, axe carved beef sandwiches, chocolate coated blackbird macaroons, Psycho marbled lollipops and dark chocolate scones… among many other delectable delicacies.

For the scare seeker – Day of the Dead at Junkyard Golf, Brick Lane (31st October). Don your scariest skull face-paint and make your way around their four nightmarish nine-hole golf courses while sipping on hair-raising cocktails. You will be accompanied by magicians and circus performers, entertaining you along your route. But beware of the scare actors hidden in the darkness…

For the meat fanatic – Bubbledogs, Fitzrovia (31st October).  For one night and one night only, a menu of hotdogs with a shocking twist will be available at the popular restaurant… this includes a dog topped with deep-fried crickets, only for the very brave! Here is a heads-up, anyone who arrives in fancy dress will receive a side dish free of charge and there will be a free bottle of champagne for whoever turns up wearing the spookiest costume.

For the theatrical – The medieval banquet, St Katharine’s and Wapping (27th October-31st October). A themed 4 course dinner, fancy dress and lashings of witch’s brewIf that is not enough to whet your appetite you will be entertained by; dancers, contortionists and horror story tellers. With tickets starting at just £25, this is frighteningly good value for money and would definitely make for a Halloween to remember.

For the baller – Bread Street Kitchen, St Paul’s (27th October-31st October).  Guests are promised a ‘supernatural kitchen experience’, with an entire menu full of Halloween themed food and a list of spine tingling cocktails you will be spoilt for choice. It’s sure to be a popular event so we recommend booking in advance.

Have a devilishly tasty Halloween.
