Body found in Thame believed to be that of Telegraph journalist

A Daily Telegraph journalist was found dead on Thursday night after she went missing.

Thames Valley Police has revealed that the body believed to be of Florence Waters,33, was on land near Thame.

Waters born in Hammersmith, West London, was an arts writer for the Telegraph. When she went missing last Monday, a search across the country was carried out.

“The death is not believed to be suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner”, the police added.

In a tweet, the Telegraph said to be “deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague”.

The inquest heard in a statement from a pathologist who carried out a post mortem examination Waters’ body, that the cause of death was consistent with hypothermia and that there were no signs of suspicious circumstances or substance abuse.

The full inquest is set to begin in May 2019.
