When talking about David Fincher, there is no doubt that he is a distinguished director and producer with numerous great productions in film and TV. But which production stands out as his best in your mind – Se7vn, Fight Club, Zodiac, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Gone Girl or House of Cards?
Audiences are mostly impressed by David Fincher’s unique personal style. His black tone gives people a sense of alienation, as dialogues can always fulfil characterisation and unveil the theme.
Tony, the YouTuber behind movie channel Every Frame a Painting, which boasts over one million subscribers said:
“…David Fincher? He cares about information. Unlike many filmmakers, who try to avoid exposition, sometimes Fincher does nothing but.”
“In his world, drama happens when a character learns a new piece of information. Fincher’s style is an extension of this idea and it’s interesting to hear him describe his process. They know you can do anything, so the question is: what DON’T you do, not what do you do.”
After Gone Girl in 2014, David Fincher back to us with his latest TV series MindHunter on Netfilx. It is based on a book by Mark Olshaker and John E. Douglas. The latter also worked as a criminal profiler – who interviewed America’s most notorious serial killers throughout career. The TV series has attracted a large amount of comments and responses since it released.
