Bonfire Night 2018 – best places around London for Guy Fawkes

Is this time of the year, where London’s sky lights up with beautiful full of colour fireworks. Celebrating the failure of Guy Fawkes attempt to blow up King James I and his government on 5th of November 1605. Now the people around the UK celebrating this day in a very beautiful and entertaining way. Bonfire has turned into a night of fun, offering attractions for old and young, in different themes and some delicious food to nibble on.

This list has some an unusual twist, instead of only offering a bonfire display, it offers places with an unbeatable view of the fireworks and other great displays around London.

1. Arcelor Mittal Orbit

Olympic Park offers a stunning look at the fireworks taking place around London, with a view for 20 miles and a nice bar on the site to grab a drink or two.

2. Alexandra Palace

Offering a spectacular firework display, with street food and a German beer festival. What better way to enjoy the fireworks than with yummy food, well how about indoor disco, ice skating rink and the famous DJ Norman Jay.

When: November 2nd-3rd
Tickets: £12 for adults, £9.50 for 11-15 years and £1 for kids age 10 or under.

Times: Fireworks at 9pm (Friday), 8pm (Saturday). There’s a laser show both evenings, half an hour before the fireworks start.

3.Battersea Park

This is of the most famous displays in London, so keep in mind that it will be extremely busy. However the show is spectacular and worth the wait. After that you can enjoy a good drink or meal at one of the restaurants near the riverside.
When: November 3rd

Tickets: Usually sell out in advance, so it’s best to book online. They cost £10 (plus a £1 booking fee), or free for children under 10.

Times: Gates open from 6pm and the bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm. Fireworks start 8pm and there will be no entry after this time.

4. Barnes

Barnes offers a more traditional celebration, with games plenty of yummy food mulled wine and a fun disco party afterwards

5. Bishops Park Fireworks

Bonfires can also be romantic. This year the theme is hearths so during the display there will be everyone’s all-time favourite love songs.

6. Blackheath

This will be one of the shortest firework displays. However, the funfair will fill the nigh with excitement and amusement.

7. Chislehurst Fireworks

Colourful display with dance performances from local schools.
When: November 3

Tickets: In advance it’s £9 for adults, £4 for kids and £20 for family ticket (two adults, three children). On the gate it’s £10 adults, £5 for children (four-14 years) and a family ticket (including three children) is £25.

Times: Fireworks start at 7pm.

8. Crystal Palace Park

This event promises plenty of colour ad noise, with a special show for the little ones.

9. Dukes Meadows Golf & Tennis Club

This display offers two shows one is earlier for families with children and the second one gives the party vibes with a Bruce Springsteen tribute band.
