Enjoy a flight across the River Thames on the Emirates Cable Cars this Christmas. 

The UK’s first urban cable car, located in North Greenwich, London gives you a different way of seeing London taking you over the River Thames.

A round trip takes about 20 minutes with insane views over The O2, Canary Wharf, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the Shard and the Thames barrier. 

Entry to Winter Wonderland, Hyde Park is difficult to book this year and can get crowded. If you are looking for a Christmas filled day out, come to North Greenwich where you can do a round trip on the Emirates Cable Cars and enjoy a free Christmas market outside The O2, where you can get your hot chocolate. 

Cabins arrive every 30 seconds and single fights usually last 10 minutes. In the cabin, it will only be yourself and the visitors you come with to keep it Covid safe.

How much is it?

You can tap in by using your Oyster card, bank card or buy tickets on arrival. For adults, a single ticket is £4, for children (aged 5-15) it is £2 and children under 5 (with fare paying adult) go free. 

You can’t top up your Oyster card at the Emirates Air Line terminals but North Greenwich station is a five minute walk and can top up there. 

How to get there?

Take the jubilee line to North Greenwich station and from the station it is a 5 minute walk to the cable cars.

There are signs to direct you there, no need to worry about getting lost.
