After Roger Federer and Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the semi-finals of this year’s ATP tournament in London, the USA’s Jack Sock joined them tonight, as he overcame Alexander Zverev 6-4, 1-6, 6-4.

Voice of London Sport predicted Zverev to be the dark horse of the tournament, but the young German was edged tonight by Sock, five years his senior.

Federer, got to the semis unbeaten and said he felt “weird” to have qualified early this Tuesday, yet he is looking forward to the next match on Saturday. Today the Swiss won against his 2017 Wimbledon final opponent Marin Cilic, turning the game in his favour after the second set.

Dimitrov who achieved a smashing victory against David Goffin yesterday, looked focused and determined at training today in front of BTV Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian will face Pablo Carreno in the last game of the Pete Sampras group.

Simon Cambers from ESPN said: “This summer, Grigor Dimitrov made a quick trip from his home in Monte Carlo to Mallorca to train with Rafael Nadal. Dimitrov arrived in the Spaniard’s backyard with an open mind and a willing body. The idea was simple: If you want to be the best, you might as well learn from the best.” Also, several media outlets around Europe didn’t hold back with praise for Dimitrov’s performances so far.

The last semi-finalist will be determined tomorrow in a game between Dominic Thiem and David Goffin at 14:00.
