Modern Panic exhibition to open this week

A collective of artists and London’s biggest underground event organiser Guerrilla Zoo is organising an annual surreal and shocking art exhibition called Modern Panic IX.

Modern Panic will open its doors to the public Saturday, 17th of November, and will continue to exhibit works from 11-7pm daily until the following week, 25th of November.

Modern Panic is happening for the ninth time already and this year it features over 70 artists from all over the world. This year it is happening at the Archive Gallery, The Rose Lipman Building.

Private viewings featuring performing artists Syban, Aepril Schaile, Austin Sherlaw-Johnson, Jylle Navarro & Neon Naked Life Drawing and Liam Brandon Murray are happening on Friday, 16th of November, 7pm – 11pm.

However, it is recommended to buy tickets in advance as the number of the tickets is very limited and there won’t be any tickets on the door. Private viewing is great for seeing the artworks before everyone else, exclusive live performances, meeting the artists and connecting with artistic souls in general.

Price for the ticket is £12 and can be bought online

The Modern Panic exhibition series are inspired by the work of the Panic Movement, which was comprised of artists Alejandro Jodorowsky, Fernando Arrabal and Roland Topor, who created provocative live arts events in France during 1960s. The works intended aim was to slice through the bourgeois art world with the aim to be a catalyst towards liberation of thought within the viewer. Modern Panic follows in the footsteps of this movement and exhibits the new wave of modern provocateur artists…” – Guerrilla Zoo

The exhibition is open to all. So far, it looks extremely promising. Take a look of what kind of art you can expect from the exhibition: http://www.guerrillazoo.com/modern-panic-9-artists.html
