Reach the touchline before England does

Fans travelling to Twickenham tomorrow for the England vs South Africa rugby match will be affected by the South Western Rail strikes.

Media and communications manager for SWR, David Murdoch, advised fans on how to make it to the match on time.

Fans are advised to plan travel in advance and allow extra time for journeys as services will be busier than usual.

Around half of SWR’s normal Saturday services will run on the 3 November. Rail replacement services and ticket acceptance on other bus and rail networks have also been organised where possible.

There will be 12 South Western Railway trains per hour between Waterloo and Twickenham. There will be one train every hour to/from Windsor and two trains every hour to/from Reading via Ascot.

SWR is advising customers travelling to Twickenham from Reading or West of Reading to travel to Paddington (ticket acceptance is in place with Great Western Railway) and then use London Underground services to Waterloo.
