Taylor Swift collaborated with Ed Sheeran and Future for new album

Words: Haonan Yuan | Subbing: Joanne Clark

It has been confirmed that both Ed Sheeran and Future are featured in one track from Taylor Swift’s sixth record ‘Reputation’, which will be released this Friday.

The 27-year-old singer just gave fans a look at the official line-up for the upcoming album. All 15 tracks are listed on the picture, including ‘End Game’, which has “Feat. Ed Sheeran and Future” alongside.

Ed told MTV that Taylor and himself are “very much alike musically”. These two of the biggest singers and songwriters in the world have already teamed up for a duet song ‘Everything Has Changed’ for Taylor’s ‘Red’ album.

Although ‘Reputation’ will be available on digital retailers such as iTunes, this album will still be withheld from streaming services.

“It’s my opinion that music should not be free.” Taylor Swift pulled her entire back catalogue off streaming service and said that fans should not listen to idols’ music without paying in 2014.

However, rapper and Producer Diplo shared his opinion on this issue and Taylor Swift’s music with Rolling Stone Magazine. “Music is in the hands of the kids. Streaming is literally what kids want to listen to over and over again,” he said, “they don’t want to listen to, like Look What You Made Me Do. That music doesn’t relate to them all. I don’t think it ever did.”

But it seems like young music listeners have already been gearing up for ‘Reputation’.

Production credits can also be seen on the track list. Taylor is credited as both executive producer and co-producer, while Serban Ghenea, the sound engineer who has won eight Grammys, contributes to this record.
