Gusts of over 70 mph were recorded this morning in southern and western areas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The UK Met office has issued seven flood warnings across England and Wales. A yellow \u00a0strong wind warning is in place for Wales, the south of England and the Midlands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Coastal areas such as Porthleven in Cornwall were hit by aggressive waves this morning. Officials have warned people to \u201ckeep away\u201d from seafronts and \u201cbe careful\u201d on low-lying lands where coastal flooding is possible.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/friday-thread-duh-eiTmpuPDQ59kc\">https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/friday-thread-duh-eiTmpuPDQ59kc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Environment Agency, in addition to flood warnings, has issued more than 40 flood alerts across England &#8211; most of which are issued for west and south-west regions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Met office, told the Voice of London that \u201cwinds are expected to reach 60 mph across London later this afternoon.\u201d They have also had reports of rail disruption across the UK due to falling trees. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/silly-storm-edition-G5n8sqIOxBqow\">https:\/\/giphy.com\/gifs\/silly-storm-edition-G5n8sqIOxBqow<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The National rail {insert link:<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/service_disruptions\/174373.aspx\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">http:\/\/www.nationalrail.co.uk\/service_disruptions\/174373.aspx<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">} has warned that the weather could affect train services.
