For this festive season, why not try and do something for those who aren\u2019t as fortunate as we are?<\/b><\/p>\n

Christmas is the holiday most of us look forward to each year. It’s the time to spend with family, be thankful and of course, get a lot of gifts! <\/span><\/p>\n

However some people may not be as lucky as we are. Scroll down to see a list of charities running different kinds of christmas donations.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. The Salvation Army<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Salvation Army is a church and a registered charity. This month you can support their Christmas Present Appeal by donating unwrapped gifts for children who may not receive one otherwise.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Our Church in Scarborough has been overwhelmed by the generosity and support from their local community who have been donating toys to their Christmas appeal. Across the UK many of our centres are running Christmas present appeals. All the gifts donated will be wrapped and given to children who might not otherwise receive one. #SallyArmyChristmas<\/a><\/p>\n

    1. Oxfam<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Oxfam offers a great variety of Christmas donations distributed across the globe. It is possible to donate a farm animal to support poor families in third world countries, \u00a0support a refugee or beat poverty in the UK, starting from just <\/span>\u00a35. <\/span><\/p>\n

         <\/p>\n

        Centrepoint is a charity that supports homeless young people in the UK by helping them to find jobs and homes everyday. <\/span><\/p>\n

        For Christmas, they offer the option for you to donate and give a present to the homeless youth. Anything from Christmas dinner, to a New Year starter box to get them back on their feet.<\/span><\/p>\n

            They encourage you to get involved and provide companionship to elderly people during this important holiday thorough lunch events or organising film viewings. You can also donate <\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a35 to help them carry these activities for the Christmas Holiday. <\/span><\/p>\n
