In 2014 Dylan Farrow pleaded for support, but the public brushed aside the accusations as a private family matter. Alec Baldwin called the actors \u201cunfair and sad\u201d for publishing their apologies for working with Allen. Diane Keaton has come out in defense of her longtime friend. Javier Bardem has also spoken out: \u201c\u2026two states in the US deemed he was not guilty.\u201d He added: \u201cIf the legal situation ever changes, then I\u2019d change my mind. But for now, I don\u2019t agree with the public lynching that he\u2019s been receiving, and if\u00a0Woody Allen called me to work with him again I\u2019d be there tomorrow morning. Allegations against the director have influenced the sponsors not to fund for a new project. The last time Allen had a gap was between 1980&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Stardust Memories<\/em>\u00a0and 1982&#8217;s\u00a0<em>A Midsummer Night&#8217;s Sex Comedy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Woody Allen says he won\u2019t stop writing despite Hollywood condemnations.
