{"id":25309,"date":"2018-11-15T11:00:25","date_gmt":"2018-11-15T11:00:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thevoiceoflondon.co.uk\/?p=25309"},"modified":"2018-11-15T11:00:25","modified_gmt":"2018-11-15T11:00:25","slug":"modern-panic-exhibition-to-open-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/thevoiceoflondon\/modern-panic-exhibition-to-open-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Modern Panic exhibition to open this week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><strong><span class=\"s1\">A collective of artists and London\u2019s biggest underground event organiser <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guerrillazoo.com\/about.html\">Guerrilla Zoo<\/a> is organising an annual surreal and shocking art exhibition called <\/span><span class=\"s2\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.guerrillazoo.com\/modern-panic-9.html\">Modern Panic IX<\/a>.<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s4\">Modern Panic will open its doors to the public Saturday, 17th of November, and will continue to exhibit works from\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s5\">11-7pm <\/span>daily until the following week, 25th of November.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s6\">Modern Panic is happening for the ninth time already and this year it features over 70 artists from all over the world. This year it is happening at the <\/span><span class=\"s5\">Archive Gallery, <\/span><span class=\"s7\">The Rose Lipman Building.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s8\">Private viewings featuring performing artists <\/span><span class=\"s9\">Syban, Aepril Schaile, Austin Sherlaw-Johnson, Jylle Navarro &amp; Neon Naked Life Drawing and Liam Brandon Murray are happening on Friday, 16th of November, <\/span><span class=\"s2\">7pm &#8211; 11pm<\/span><span class=\"s9\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s9\">However, it is recommended to buy tickets in advance as the number of the tickets is very limited and there won\u2019t be any tickets on the door.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Private viewing is great for seeing the artworks before everyone else, exclusive live performances, meeting the artists and connecting with artistic souls in general. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s9\">Price for the ticket is \u00a312 and can be bought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guerrillazoo.com\/tickets.html\">online<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[vimeo 65934475 w=640 h=360]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p7\"><span class=\"s11\">\u201c<\/span><span class=\"s10\"><i>The Modern Panic exhibition series are inspired by the work of the Panic Movement, which was comprised of artists Alejandro Jodorowsky, Fernando Arrabal and Roland Topor, who created provocative live arts events in France during 1960s. The works intended aim was to slice through the bourgeois art world with the aim to be a catalyst towards liberation of thought within the viewer. Modern Panic follows in the footsteps of this movement and exhibits the new wave of modern provocateur artists\u2026\u201d &#8211; Guerrilla Zoo <\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p9\"><span class=\"s10\">The exhibition is open to all.
