The experience can be terrifying for dogs and result in them behaving unpredictably, which could put their safety at risk,\u201d said a spokesperson from <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thekennelclub.org.uk\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Kennel Club<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, an organisation which protects and promotes the health and welfare of dogs. <\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25437\" style=\"width: 970px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25437\" class=\"wp-image-25437 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/thevoiceoflondon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/2018\/11\/Susanne-Palmer.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-25437\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image: Courtesy of Susanne Palmer via Pixabay<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a press release by the Kennel Club, the calls they received about missing pets had increased around the end of October and beginning of November last year. They suggest that you have a microchip in your pet with your contact details. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The press release said: \u201cPetlog, managed by The Kennel Club is one of the largest databases for microchipped animals&#8230;by registering with Petlog, pet owners can be reassured that rescue and welfare organisations are being supported by provision of free services to help the rehoming process&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_25446\" style=\"width: 610px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-25446\" class=\"wp-image-25446 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/thevoiceoflondon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/2018\/11\/KC-LogoComplete_cmyk-web.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"374\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-25446\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Image: Courtesy of The Kennel Club<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A government <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/petition.parliament.uk\/petitions\/231147\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">petition<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> has been put out this year for the ban and has already had over 250k signatures so far. It says: \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fireworks are a nuisance to the public. While they are not completely silent, they are much quieter than regular fireworks. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dogtime.com\/trending\/33475-town-italy-switches-silent-fireworks-reduce-anxiety-animals\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Collechio<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a town in Italy, has started using silent fireworks to reduce the levels of anxiety in animals.
