He also took a shot at competitor ThirdLove: \u201cWe\u2019re nobody\u2019s third love. We\u2019re their first love.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A relatively young start-up, many people may not have heard of ThirdLove until the interview. But in a scathing response, ThirdLove founder Heidi Zak sent Victoria\u2019s Secret an open letter via the front page of The New York Times.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BqVS-aTlvIt\/<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Zak opens her letter by calling attention to the \u201cdemeaning\u201d comments Razek made to <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Vogue<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. She then goes on to say, \u201cYou market to men and sell a male fantasy to women. But at ThirdLove, we think beyond, as you said, a \u201842-minute entertainment special.\u2019 Your show may be a \u2018fantasy\u2019 but we live in reality.\u201d And for ThirdLove, their reality is that women come in all shapes and sizes and backgrounds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In a statement sent to <em>Voice of London<\/em>, Zak said, \u201cI felt like it was the right moment to respond to Ed\u2019s comments about ThirdLove directly and to demand more from Victoria\u2019s Secret. It\u2019s the year 2018 and I believe women deserve to be treated and marketed to in a more authentic, realistic way. My hope is this year is the last one for the fashion show &#8212; that enough public pressure will be placed on VS to make some real and meaningful changes to their organization and to the messages they are sending to women everywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And ThirdLove\u2019s response has had an impact. Twitter users have been echoing ThirdLove\u2019s sentiments while also calling to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/cancelvs?src=hash\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">#cancelVS<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I won\u2019t go back to VS. Several notable transgender women have spoken up about Razek\u2019s comments as well. American TV personality <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Carmen_Carrera\/status\/1063702191507030016?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Carmen Carrera<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> went to Twitter simply to ask Victoria\u2019s Secret: \u201cWhy do you hate me so much?\u201d YouTuber Gigi Gorgeous also took to Twitter to express her distaste.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Devastated (and also disgusted) seeing all the articles I woke up to today about <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/VictoriasSecret?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@victoriassecret<\/a> explaining why they don\u2019t use transgender or plus size girls in their shows..
