We are increasingly aware that charities <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/politics\/12134804\/Too-many-of-our-charities-are-nothing-of-the-sort.html\">misspend donations<\/a>, so how can you be sure that your donated cash will actually be used for good?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to Cathy Pharoah, professor of Charity funding at London&#8217;s Cass Business School, the amount we give to charity in the UK goes up by 5% in December.
