So with their new satellite internet initiative, they would be able to provide internet to areas which are unreachable by terrestrial technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/blog\/2015\/09\/billions-of-people-in-developing-world-still-without-internet-access-new-un-report-finds\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">report<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by the United Nations, more than 3 billion people are still unable to use internet with lowest levels of Internet access in sub-Saharan Africa. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/wifi_master_key\/status\/1068436977765085184<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Other major companies like Facebook, Google, and SpaceX have also announced Project Aquila, Project Loon, and Project StarLink respectively to provide global internet access at a low-cost. So, LinkSure\u2019s commitment of providing a free service has dissolved the issue of affordability and put the company ahead in the race. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">LinkSure Network chief executive Wang Jingying said at the satellite plan\u2019s unveiling: \u201cThe Earth has many different terrains like ocean or desert, where internet infrastructure cannot be constructed, so we got the idea of developing such satellites.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.chinadaily.com.cn\/a\/201811\/30\/WS5c009321a310eff30328bf93.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">China Daily<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a total of three billion yuan (<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a3337 million) will be invested to send all satellites into space. The first one will take off from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center into northwestern China\u2019s Gansu province by 2019.
