Governments are meeting in Katowice, Poland until the 14 December for the 24th Conference of the Parties (COP24), where they plan to put in practice what was agreed in Paris in 2015. It is ‘the most important global decision’ regarding climate change.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Almost 200 nations are set to meet to agree on \u2018the Paris rulebook\u2019, a set of global robust guidelines for implementation, and to ensure vulnerable countries get the support they need to reduce climate change. They are in a moment of reckoning, with this year set to be the fourth warmest on record, according to the World Meteorological Organization<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It also follows a report from the UN<\/a> demonstrating a rise in global CO2 emissions and the recent IPCC report<\/a> that called for urgent action in the next 12 years to limit warming to 1.5C.<\/p>\n
