I don\u2019t know about the rest of you, but for me it really is the best time of year. There\u2019s lights everywhere, gift giving and everyone seems to be in a better mood whether it&#8217;s a Monday or Friday. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Every year there is an abundance of things to get done before lazing around on the big day. But the hard work wouldn\u2019t be as much fun if we couldn\u2019t enjoy ourselves while stressing ourselves. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This year some of London\u2019s most popular spots (and some not as popular spots) are offering festive screenings. So whilst you\u2019re out shopping this weekend for all those gifts &#8211; gift yourself with a nice sit down at the theatre to watch your favourite Christmas film.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_28431\" style=\"width: 3485px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-28431\" class=\"size-full wp-image-28431\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/thevoiceoflondon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/2018\/12\/daniil-silantev-469634-unsplash.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"3475\" height=\"2302\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-28431\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo by Daniil Silantev on Unsplash<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>London\u2019s well-known annual event, Winter Wonderland has introduced, this year, a child friendly screening of childhood favourite <i>The Snowman. <\/i>P<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">op across the river to Hyde Park to join the fun, with <a href=\"https:\/\/tickets.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com\/Order\/Step1\">tickets<\/a> for the screening and other events on their website<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the film you can enjoy the magical fun fair, Christmas market and ice skating (if you\u2019re feeling adventurous). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Neighbourhood Cinema is hosting a wintry island where visitors can find themselves shipwrecked in the middle of Covent Garden to watch a variety of films including <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Elf, Love Actually, Home Alone <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Santa Clause. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some showings are reserved for families and those under 18, while most are for 18+, with alcohol being served from the ice bar as well as popcorn and festive sliders. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hackney\u2019s pop-up cinema is opening next week, with a variety of Christmas films available. The screenings are accessible via pre-booked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.popupscreens.co.uk\/\">tickets<\/a>.
