Just three months ago, no one had heard of <\/span>CHARLOTTE. <\/b>After years of writing she decided to drop her debut track <\/span>\u2018I Tell Lies\u2019<\/b> with little expectation \u2013 an ordinary girl from Hull with dreams of crafting a career as a songwriter and artist. \u00a0A few weeks later she released the second track <\/span>\u2018Nervous\u2019<\/b> from her debut EP which she discovered was sitting at <\/span>Number 7<\/b> in <\/span>Spotify\u2019s NMF<\/b> \u2013 and within 6 weeks had received over <\/span>1 million<\/b> plays on Spotify alone. Then came her first sold out London headline show at <\/span>The Waiting Room<\/b>, support from <\/span>BBC Introducing<\/b>, upcoming support dates with <\/span>Wrabel, Au\/Ra, Lewis Capaldi <\/b>and even recognition from <\/span>Ed Sheeran<\/b> on Instagram for one of her <\/span>covers.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The soulful, beautiful and melancholic\u00a0<\/span>\u2018Nowhere To Hide\u2019<\/b> EP reveals\u00a0<\/span>CHARLOTTE’S<\/b>\u00a0timeless pop infused with a sumptuous, soulful vocal gift rooted in the tradition of soul\u2019s greatest talents \u2013 and illustrates her innate ability to write a hook and catchy melody. <\/span><\/p>\n

Produced by\u00a0<\/span>The Orphanage \u2013 <\/b>aka<\/span> Trevor Brown<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span>Zaire Koalo<\/b>\u00a0(Kehlani,\u00a0Alessia Cara,\u00a0Demi Lovato) \u2013 the EP opens with <\/span>CHARLOTTE\u2019s<\/b> debut single <\/span>\u2018I Tell Lies\u2019<\/b>. \u00a0Its video presented a glimpse into <\/span>CHARLOTTE\u2019S<\/b> young life, with original childhood footage\u00a0cut between a dynamic performance surrounded by her hometown friends. Hailing from Hull,<\/span> CHARLOTTE<\/b>\u00a0finally got her break last year, when she was discovered by\u00a0<\/span>Grammy-nominated<\/b> global hit maker<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Toby Gad <\/b>\u2013 writer of <\/span>\u2018All of Me\u2019 (John Legend), \u2018If I Were A Boy\u2019 (Beyonce), \u2018Big Girls Don\u2019t Cry\u2019 (Fergie) <\/b>and more. <\/span>CHARLOTTE <\/b>became the first<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>artist<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>songwriter\u00a0<\/span>Toby Gad<\/b>\u00a0signed to his publishing company.\u00a0 After\u00a0one writing session in LA\u00a0he\u00a0offered\u00a0to sign\u00a0her immediately \u2013the girl from Hull writing songs in her bedroom for years had suddenly been noticed. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CHARLOTTE’S<\/b>\u00a0journey began when she was\u00a04 years old. Singing and playing in her grandparents touring band around the UK and Europe, this was where she\u00a0developed her\u00a0love of soul music. Inspired by all the soul greats \u2013 <\/span>Sam Cooke, Aretha Franklin, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder and Otis Redding \u2013 CHARLOTTE <\/b>spent her early teens performing in pubs until her family moved to Singapore when she was 14 years old. Isolated\u00a0from her friends and the life she knew, she started to write and sing every day, finding therapy in her music to cope with these inner struggles as a teenager.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
