He\u2019s already achieving great things. His early tracks such as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/1WnRp1myfYTNrMSRZc5NAi?si=fE10e_lmTzeYL5s_vmxP2w\"><b>\u2018Like I Did\u2019<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/6YDekVOJqTR5a9BnNDLKOb?si=W9qiNbVtTXiBpnzZmhaF5A\"><b>\u2018Medicine\u2019<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> have fired him past the 10 million streams landmark, and he co-wrote <\/span><b>\u2018Hollywood\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a song that features on <\/span><b>\u2018Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the <\/span><b>#1<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> debut album from his friend <\/span><b>Lewis<\/b> <b>Capaldi<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Now <\/span><b>JC Stewart\u2019s <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ascent continues<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">with his new single <\/span><b>\u2018Have You Had Enough Wine?\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, which is an autobiographical account of the final conversation he had with an ex-girlfriend. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cHave you had enough wine? \u201cHave I ruined your life? I didn\u2019t mean to,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> he sings, his voice brimming with emotion, in a track produced by his regular collaborator, the <\/span><b>Grammy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">-winning producer <\/span><b>Fred<\/b> <b>Ball<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><b>The<\/b> <b>Carters<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe relationship was on the way out,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> he explains<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. \u201cIt takes those three lines and turns it into something bigger. It\u2019s a really simple, human thing that everyone goes through at some point.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The song\u2019s vulnerability also resonated in the accompanying video, which was directed by <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mrgregbarnes.com\/\"><b>Greg Barnes<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><b>Kamaal Williams<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Young<\/b> <b>Fathers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">An intense examination of the volatility of young love, it depicts <\/span><b>JC Stewart<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and his on-screen girlfriend sharing their final meal together as their troubled relationship comes to an explosive end. It cuts back home, where <\/span><b>JC<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> loses himself in his music as he attempts to find closure following their split. It\u2019s a video which reflects his experiences of finding comfort in songwriting in the wake of a break-up. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Both the song and the video reflect the <\/span><b>Professional Sadboy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> nickname that his sister bestowed upon him. It\u2019s a cheeky if appropriate moniker for a man who explores the thrill of romance, the pain of heartache and everything in-between.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cMost of my songs start as a small conversation with someone,\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> he explains, citing influences such as <\/span><b>James<\/b> <b>Blake<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Dermot<\/b> <b>Kennedy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Hozier<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Tom<\/b> <b>Waits<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Bob<\/b> <b>Dylan<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> and <\/span><b>The<\/b> <b>Band<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThen the question is: how do I make it into something bigger that people can connect to, while also keeping it personal?\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition to <\/span><b>Fred Ball<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, recent months have seen <\/span><b>JC<\/b> <b>Stewart<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> working with some of the world\u2019s leading producers and writers. <\/span><b>Justin<\/b> <b>Parker<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, a regular co-writer for <\/span><b>Lana<\/b> <b>Del<\/b> <b>Rey<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, is also a regular collaborator. Meanwhile, sessions in <\/span><b>Los<\/b> <b>Angeles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> have included work with <\/span><b>Greg Wells<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><b>Dua<\/b> <b>Lipa<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Adele<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), <\/span><b>Toby<\/b> <b>Gad<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><b>Jess<\/b> <b>Glynne<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>John<\/b> <b>Legend<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">), <\/span><b>Jon<\/b> <b>Green<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><b>Rag N Bone Man<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>James<\/b> <b>Bay<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) and <\/span><b>Jonny<\/b> <b>Coffer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (<\/span><b>Beyonc\u00e9<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><b>Fall<\/b> <b>Out<\/b> <b>Boy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">) <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u2018Have You Had Enough Wine?\u2019<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is the first release on his <\/span><b>Sunshine<\/b> <b>Boy<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> sub-brand which he\u2019ll be using to release music and merch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Having recently toured with<\/span><b> Freya Ridings, JC Stewart <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">will follow the release of the single by playing some high profile shows and festivals throughout the summer which include a London gig with <\/span><b>Lauv<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
