The protesters marched towards Trafalgar Square under the supervision of the Metropolitan (Met) Police.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, initially denounced the movement as it might cause further tensions and advised that an intensified security operation will be placed around London in the course of the protest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Met Police gave authorisation only if the protesters would gather at Parliament Street, proceed along Whitehall and finish their march in Trafalgar Square.
