Strawberries in October! You can\u2019t be serious.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>It is also becoming increasingly easy to buy organic produce that has come from local farms, with many people now choosing to visit farmers markets instead of supermarket aisles. However, for many, it is still a struggle to find healthy seasonal food without breaking the bank.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Voice of London has put together a few of our favourite autumnal recipes to help you find something to warm you up against the fire this halloween.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash Soup<\/li>\n<li>Pumpkin Fries<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Halloween Chocolate Apples<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_30993\" style=\"width: 778px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30993\" class=\"size-large wp-image-30993\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/thevoiceoflondon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/2019\/10\/FBFB1184-7773-4D16-9F05-D4BA3B844C53-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-30993\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Emily Yarwood<\/p><\/div>\n<p><b>Sweet Potato and Butternut Squash Soup<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1tsp olive oil<\/li>\n<li>1 large white onion, diced<\/li>\n<li>1 large sweet potato, peeled and diced<\/li>\n<li>1 butternut squash, peeled and diced<\/li>\n<li>900ml Vegetable stock<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Method:<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Put oil in saucepan, and soften onons<\/li>\n<li>Add sweet potato and butternut squash and stir for one minute<\/li>\n<li>Add the vegetable stock, turn down the heat and let simmer for 45 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Use a hand blender to blend the ingredients together (be careful) to a smooth texture.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Serve hot with crusty bread!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/allrecipes.co.uk\/recipe\/16989\/butternut-squash-and-sweet-potato-soup.aspx\">http:\/\/allrecipes.co.uk\/recipe\/16989\/butternut-squash-and-sweet-potato-soup.aspx<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_30991\" style=\"width: 778px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30991\" class=\"size-large wp-image-30991\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/thevoiceoflondon\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/64\/2019\/10\/A32E133D-E2F4-48EF-B34A-657E5092CB29-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-30991\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Source: Emily Yarwood<\/p><\/div>\n<p><b>Pumpkin Fries<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 pumpkin, gutted, sliced into strips\/fries<\/li>\n<li>2tbs cornstarch<\/li>\n<li>1tbs curry powder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DIP (optional):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Greek Yogurt<\/li>\n<li>Mayonnaise<\/li>\n<li>Paprika<\/li>\n<li>Garlic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Method:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Rest Pumpkin slices in Ice cold water for at least 1 hour to reduce starch<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Place them on a baking tray.
