Hours after sacking Maur\u00edcio Pochettino, the London club announce the arrival of decorated Portuguese manager Jos\u00e9 Mourinho, on a contract valid until 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mourinho has been out of work since leaving Manchester United last season. In recent interviews, he had already shown interest in picking up a new position in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

His first game in charge of Tottenham will be against West Ham, next Saturday. The game will be at the London Stadium at 12:30 PM.<\/p>\n

The former Chelsea manager won the Premier League in his two stints at the West London club and lifted the Champions League trophy twice with FC Porto and Inter Milan.<\/p>\n

Chairman Daniel Levy said about the new coach: \u201cIn Jose we have one of the most successful managers in football. He has a wealth of experience, can inspire teams and is a great tactician. He has won honours at every club he has coached. We believe he will bring energy and belief to the dressing room.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Levy, \u201cRegrettably domestic results at the end of last season and beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing”.<\/p>\n
