It\u2019s an annual competition that<br \/>\nbrings together photographers from around the world to share unique stories<br \/>\nabout animals in their natural habitat and explore the role that humans can play in the conservation of the environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The competition has taken place at the Natural History Museum every year<br \/>\nsince 1984. My husband and I have been nine years in a row\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">In a century when images are more important than ever, the exhibition<br \/>\ntouches your feelings through some of the most striking pictures you\u2019re ever likely to see.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\u2018The Challenge\u2019, a photograph taken by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/B3x_FeDF2Qq\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link\">Fran\u00e7oise Gervais<\/a>, vividly<br \/>\ncaptures the struggle of a polar bear with melting pack ice. \u2018\u2019Today polar<br \/>\nbears spend 20 to 30 more days a year on land than they did in the 1990s,\u2019\u2019one of the captions explains.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">This exhibition not only enlightens by enabling us to see the changes our<br \/>\nplanet is undergoing, but also incorporates light touches which make us smile.<br \/>\n\u2018The Moment\u2019, a spectacular photograph taken by Yongqing Bao. people had to chuckle. The caption reads, \u2018A Himalayan marmot surprised by a<br \/>\nmother Tibetan fox\u2019. Surprise and fear are written all over the marmot\u2019s face and you can see at a glance what it\u2019s thinking:<br \/>\n\u2018Oops! This is my hunter! Am I about to become dinner?\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">But we aren\u2019t shown what happened next, so we\u2019re left in suspense.<br \/>\nTaken in the Qilian Mountains National Nature Reserve, this photograph won<br \/>\nYongqing Bao the title of Wildlife Photographer of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/NHM_WPY\/status\/1188093699479232517<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Don\u2019t miss the exhibition.
