“To that little girl in St Thomas, Jamaica and all the girls around the world – please believe in yourself.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jamaican born\u00a0Toni-Ann Singh is Miss World\u2019s 69th winner. The 23-year-old model and student won the hearts of everyone in Saturday’s final at the Exhibition Centre, London with her performance of Whitney Houston “I Have Nothing”. <\/span><\/p>\n

Toni-Ann Singh also recognised the charity work she did as extremely important as she called it “the biggest part of the competition”.<\/p>\n

Her crowning is a huge deal as it\u2019s the first time in history that black women hold the titles for Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, Miss America, Miss Universe and Miss World.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Viewers around the world showed their support via social media but there was one moment on stage that fans couldn\u2019t get over. <\/span>Miss Nigeria, Nyekachi Douglas was ecstatic and couldn\u2019t contain her excitement for her peer as she was announced Miss World 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
