He said: \u201cLondon is on a steep path and measures needed to be put in place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The introduction of new restrictions was backed by Mayor Sadiq Khan who said that he understood how tough the measures would be for Londoners but was not willing to put lives at risk.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NEW: From Saturday London moves into tier two &#8211; high alert level &#8211; restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>\u2b07\ufe0f My message to Londoners:<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/0bEHfxJTuK\">pic.twitter.com\/0bEHfxJTuK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Sadiq Khan (@SadiqKhan) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SadiqKhan\/status\/1316720261320802309?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 15, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The consequences to this change of restrictions is said to put 250,000 jobs in hospitality at risk.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremy Joseph, owner of G-A-Y nightclub in London and Manchester, spoke to the BBC regarding his concern over the new rules. He described the whole situation as \u201ctoo confusing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Keeping households from mixing seems unmanageable,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If a group come to G-A-Y, who&#8217;s responsible in making sure they&#8217;re all from the same household? And who gets fined?<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-style: inherit;font-weight: inherit\">&#8220;We need the government to be working with business to make things work.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Tier 2 is an absolute killer for hospitality in London.<br \/>Where will this all stop?
