{"id":41272,"date":"2020-11-27T23:27:38","date_gmt":"2020-11-27T23:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thevoiceoflondon.co.uk\/?p=41272"},"modified":"2020-11-27T23:27:38","modified_gmt":"2020-11-27T23:27:38","slug":"covid-19-vaccine-to-be-rolled-out-in-10-days-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.westminster.ac.uk\/thevoiceoflondon\/covid-19-vaccine-to-be-rolled-out-in-10-days-time\/","title":{"rendered":"Covid-19 vaccine to be rolled out in 10 days&#8217; time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>The UK may see hospitals starting to prepare for the rollout of a Covid-19 vaccine in ten days\u2019 time, reports The Guardian.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Guardian reports that hospitals in England may well be expecting to receive their first deliveries of the vaccine produced by Pfizer\/BioNTech as soon as 7 December, following stocks of the vaccine on 7, 8 or 9 December.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On 9 November, the news broke about a potential 90-per-cent effective vaccine that may start being rolled out sooner than expected. The vaccine has been developed by Pfizer and BioNTech.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A few days later, a vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca was found to be 70% effective, the developers told in a press release on 23 November. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They also revealed that there was a possibility of reaching 90 per cent effectiveness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">NHS workers would be expected to be at the front of the queue, The Guardian reports.
