When it\u2019s new it\u2019s all you can talk about. How could you not? However, with time, the art just\u00a0<em>exists<\/em>. It\u2019s not a new foreign subject but rather a part of you.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">You and the tattoo. Brixton and the street art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Street art started gaining popularity in Brixton in the 1970s and 80s. As stated by the London Mural Preservation Society, it was painted to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.londonmuralpreservationsociety.com\/murals\/children-play\/\">\u2018show how racial harmony existed naturally between the community.\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" Marvin Gaye\u2019s album \u2018What\u2019s Going On\u2019, this mural was painted on Canterbury Crescent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It shows how the social and political issues that Gaye&#8217;s society faced, are still issues we face today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"p3\">Painted on an actual railway bridge in Brixton Station, these words welcome visitors and residents alike with their Caribbean inspired design.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
