Activists have referred to the health service as a &#8220;blackhole of public funding&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This comes at a time when politicians and advocacy groups have demanded that hospitals not be allowed to continue serving as &#8220;little art galleries&#8221;, instead calling for the sale of the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/article-11381747\/NHS-struggling-Covid-boss-says.html\" title=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/health\/article-11381747\/NHS-struggling-Covid-boss-says.html\"> health service&#8217;s \u00a312 million art collection<\/a>.
