While the act was set in motion prior to the series airing, it is said to have been rushed after the  premiere.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2022\/dec\/08\/the-guardian-view-on-harry-and-meghan-the-ring-of-truth\" title=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2022\/dec\/08\/the-guardian-view-on-harry-and-meghan-the-ring-of-truth\">Guardian<\/a> criticises the series for its\u00a0\u2018super-privileged\u2019 perspective, eventually, it highlights how recent royal news stories give credibility to H&amp;M\u2019s claims of racism and bigotry within the institution. Using the recent Lady Susan Hussey scandal as evidence, the article highlights that the royal family must learn from the content of the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Royal author <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2022\/12\/08\/prince-harry-looks-unamused-meghan-jokes-curtseying-queen-elizabeth\/\" title=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2022\/12\/08\/prince-harry-looks-unamused-meghan-jokes-curtseying-queen-elizabeth\/\">Gyles Brandreth<\/a> stated that aspects of the documentary were \u201cmocking\u201d and \u201cembarrassing\u201d. Whereas a friend of the royal family has stated that the show wasn\u2019t \u201cexplosive\u201d as predicted but rather \u201cinteresting\u201d and that the King is unlikely to watch the series. They said: \u201cHe doesn&#8217;t watch very much television. I don&#8217;t think he would have learned very much except about the unhappiness of his son in the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Across the pond, reactions to the series hold a similar tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/12\/08\/harry-and-meghan-lash-out-at-uk-media-in-new-netflix-documentary.html?&amp;qsearchterm=harry%20and%20meghan\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/12\/08\/harry-and-meghan-lash-out-at-uk-media-in-new-netflix-documentary.html?&amp;qsearchterm=harry%20and%20meghan\">CNBC<\/a> stated that the series has a \u201cdistinct lack of critical voices\u201d. Sunny Hostin stated that she is no longer shocked at the alleged racism inside of the British monarchy, stating that she believed Markle\u2019s story from the beginning. She said: \u201cShe told everybody that there was racism\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alyssa Farah Griffin host stated a different perspective arguing that the couple &#8220;have already told their story&#8221; and that they are \u201cperpetuating putting themselves in the public eye when that was what they were trying to avoid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Piers Morgan, a famous critic of Meghan, went live on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lxkIjglAhU8\" title=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lxkIjglAhU8\">YouTube<\/a> following the series and claimed that the documentary had \u201cno substance to it\u201d. The former ITV breakfast host stated alongside a colleague that the use of Diana\u2019s name in the series \u201cis disgusting\u201d and that the prince was \u201cusing it [his mother\u2019s name] for commercial gain.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Twitter is also commenting on the documentary-making \u2018Meghan\u2019 trend worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If you watch the first episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/HarryandMeghanNetflix?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#HarryandMeghanNetflix<\/a> and feel nothing for Harry and his situation, then you have a heart of stone. He lost his mother at the age of 12, no wonder he is so protective of Meghan and his kids.
