According to the results, 57.5 per cent of 17.5 million voters would prefer to see someone else as the head of the platform.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Musk announced at the start of the vote on Sunday that he would act according to the result &#8211; suggesting that the poll wasn&#8217;t simply an &#8220;opinion&#8221; vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1604617643973124097?s=20&#038;t=-yabiNfIBcthEBuEkx_rWg\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Musk has done quite a bit to enrage a significant portion of the Twitter community.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last week he announced that soon it wouldn&#8217;t be possible to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2022\/12\/18\/23515221\/twitter-bans-links-instagram-mastodon-competitors\">share links <\/a>to other social media platforms on Twitter, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2022\/dec\/15\/twitter-suspends-accounts-journalists-musk\">suspended the accounts<\/a> of several well-known American journalists. Then proceeded to revoke both policies within 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/twitter.com\/W7VOA\/status\/1603557773991677956?s=20&#038;t=a1hGE2MGgSVLoRjRQ587TA\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Musk also made several painful HR decisions, including hiring his own cousins \u200b\u200bat the company.&nbsp; He angered many by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/11\/29\/twitter-stops-policing-covid-19-misinformation-under-ceo-elon-musk.html\">stopping the filtering<\/a> of fake news about Covid, and by reactivating Donald Trump&#8217;s account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are eagerly waiting to see if he will really resign from the management of the company after the result of the vote (which doesn\u2019t mean he won\u2019t remain the owner of the company, but he would hand over the responsibilities of CEO to someone else).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Words:Andrea Rezman|Subbing:Anna Kamocsai<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twitter users want to see Elon Musk gone, based on a poll started by the CEO himself on Sunday.
