We plan an official launch of our Westminster AI Network on 22 October 2025 between 16.00-19.00 (room and agenda TBA). To celebrate the launch of the centre we plan (1) an invited talk by one of the leading figures in UK AI (2) a research show of the diverse AI research at Westminster, and (3) two competitions: for the centre\u2019s logo and for the project proposals across all fields of Westminster AI research. Some details are below.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Westminster AI Research Showcase 2025 \u2013 Exploring the Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

A dynamic event celebrating the diverse and groundbreaking work being done in Artificial Intelligence across our university: cutting-edge research presentations from colleagues, across all schools, interactive demos and posters showcasing; networking opportunities with researchers, industry partners, and discussions on the future of interdisciplinary AI and our centre.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We are inviting posters and short presentations \u2013 introduction to posters, showcasing research comprising AI in any area and at any development phase, whether this is a completed project, work in progress or only some exciting idea.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Westminster AI <\/span><\/b>\u0421<\/span><\/b>entre logo – help us shape the face of AI at Westminster\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We are excited to announce a university-wide to design the official logo for our centre.<\/span> This is your chance to contribute to the visual identity of a centre that will lead cutting-edge AI research, innovation, and collaboration. We are looking for a modern, and memorable logo reflecting themes of AI, technology, innovation, ethics, and interdisciplinarity, scalable and original work (no stock images or AI-generated logos). The three winners will be selected by the public voting, will present their logo at the event and the final winner will be voted by the attendees of the event.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Research project proposals competition. <\/span><\/b>Seeking and supporting external funding is one of the priorities of our centre and we are looking forward to support three large, applications for external funding. Any proposals comprising AI in any area of research are welcome! The details of the competition will be announced in early September. At the moment we share this info as a preliminary call for colleagues to start brainstorming, team building\/etc. We plan for the top three selected projects (up to 500K) to be presented at the event. The winners will receive our centre\u2019s support, mentorship and priority support from RKEO.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
