We offer lots of help designed to help you settle in and make the most of your time with us at the University of Westminster. Our range of student support services is designed to assist you academically, personally and socially, ensuring you have the relevant resources and guidance you need to succeed.
“The support at the University of Westminster has been nothing short of exceptional. During my first year, I was struggling a lot with the adjustment to life in London as an international student. Being far from home, dealing with cultural shock, and navigating everything on my own. I was frequently in touch with my personal tutor, and what stayed with me was how professional yet deeply compassionate she was. She actively listened, connected me with the right support services, and consistently made me feel like I wasn’t alone. At a time when I felt completely overwhelmed, her support made a real difference.”
“The academic support has been first-rate and together with incredibly gifted and knowledgeable lecturers, the learning experience is far less stressful than you might think. This includes pastoral care from your personal tutor as well as advice and help from the academic tutor. Library staff, both in-person and online, are available for extra assistance with essay writing, creating effective learning tools, and understanding the help that is available, covering all aspects of the course and university experience.”
“I’ve made use of the University’s Careers and Employability service, and it’s been a really valuable resource. Their career advice and CV support have been especially helpful. I joined a few workshops on interview preparation and networking, which offered some great insights. I also booked a one-to-one session where they helped me fine-tune my CV and cover letter—this made a real difference when applying for internships.”
