We know that when you are applying to university, financial support is an important factor when deciding where to study. This is why we offer a range of scholarships including fee awards and money towards living expenses for students studying an undergraduate degree. <\/span><\/p>

We asked one of our current scholarship students, Ravi, to talk to us about his experience.<\/span><\/p>

I\u2019m in my second year studying Fashion Buying Management and received the Great Start Scholarship based on my GCSE and A Level Grades. The scholarship application process was straightforward and my scholarship has been helpful for finances and for building up my academic record. Westminster has such a wide range of scholarships, which contributed to my decision to come to the University.<\/span><\/p>

As well as providing extra financial support, scholarships give you the opportunity to enhance your CV as scholarship students are required to complete a set number of voluntary hours per semester. I volunteered on open days which involved answering questions of prospective students and assisting in subject talks. I was also an extra in the Virtual Reality accommodation video which was really fun and a completely new experience. You can also choose to volunteer for a charity, at a local school or at other university activities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Scholarships are typically assessed on financial need and a good academic record (this doesn\u2019t mean you have to be top of your class to get one). To be eligible for a scholarship you need to first have applied for a place on a course and been made either a conditional or unconditional offer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

If you are on track to meet the entry requirements for your course, it\u2019s recommended that you apply, as our scholarships are awarded based on more than just academic performance. Applications for scholarships for students starting an undergraduate degree in September 2020 are now open. Great Start Scholarship<\/a><\/h4>

Westminster Foundation Degree Scholarship<\/a><\/h4>

To further our commitment of supporting students through their higher education experience, the University has a number of scholarships available for students who will start an undergraduate course with an Integrated Foundation Year.<\/span><\/p>

The deadline for undergraduate scholarships for UK and EU students is 22 June 2020. To apply, you will need to complete the application form for your chosen scholarship (downloadable from each specific scholarship page) and post it to our scholarships office.
