The University collaborates with a diverse range of organisations, from large corporations to small businesses and charities, to provide valuable work placements to our current students. We are eager to expand our network of international placement providers, including those from our alumni network. If your organisation can offer an internship to our students, we would love to hear from you.

What kind of duties do students undertake on a work placement?
Work placement expectations vary depending on the duration, location and nature of each work placement. Our students could support you with delivering a particular project or task, bringing fresh ideas and perspectives to your organisation. Students have previously supported fashion studio design teams, proposed story ideas for news content, assisted in the management of social media accounts and contributed to marketing campaigns.
What are the payment expectations?
Internships which are 35 hours or fewer can be unpaid. Anything longer than this must be paid.
What happens next?
If your organisation might be able to offer a placement, please share a few details regarding your organisation and the subject area you may be able to support with a work placement:
Offer a student work placement: expression of interest form
Once you have completed the form, we may request some additional details to assist us in advertising the role to the most suitable group of students.
While we cannot guarantee that a student will apply for the placement, we will make every effort to match opportunities with interested students. Your support is greatly appreciated and helps us understand how you can contribute – now and in the future.
My organisation cannot offer work experience for a current student but would like to recruit a Westminster graduate. How can we do this?
The University can advertise your role to our graduates through our Engage careers platform. This is a free-of-charge service that allows you to upload and post your opportunities directly online.
