New internship opportunities are being developed at the University of Westminster to enhance the employability of Psychology alumni from Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) backgrounds. Kathryn Waddington, Reader in Psychology at the University of Westminster, is working with Mitzi Wyman, founder of the Fulcrum Leaders Network, to develop the internships.
This new initiative builds on the Eren Behget’s (Psychology BSc, 2016) successful internship in 2016/17, which led to Eren gaining employment with the NHS London Leadership Academy.
We are now looking for BME Psychology alumni who would like to participate in the scheme in 2017/18. If you are interested in joining the programme, please email k.waddington@westminster.ac.uk. Further details of the scheme will follow in future newsletters.
The project is funded by the Quintin Hogg Trust, a trust which supports students at the University of Westminster to achieve their full potential.
