Hi
Welcome to “Belonging at Westminster”.
Belonging means something a little different to each of us. Here at the University of Westminster it often starts in everyday interactions — the warm welcome at an event, the chat after a lecture, the feeling that you don’t have to leave parts of yourself at the door to fit in. These small moments add up, and before you know it, campus begins to feel less like a place you go and more like a community you’re part of.
For some, that sense of belonging grows through joining a society, volunteering, or getting involved in one of our networks or student Empowerment programmes; for others, it appears in a quieter way, like finding just one person who really “gets” you. However it shows up, belonging at Westminster isn’t about having the same story — it’s about knowing your story matters here.
In this blog, we’ll be sharing honest, everyday experiences from students and colleagues across the University. If you work, study or have studied at Westminster we’d love you to add your voice by reflecting on what belonging means to you and sharing your own story with us. You can get in touch by emailing inclusion@westminster.ac.uk
