Mapping career in Higher Education

The Centre for Teaching Innovation would like to invite you to a workshop on Mapping career in Higher Education on Friday 15th February, 2-4pm, Regent RS152/153.

In this two-hour workshop, participants will be invited to consider their experience of ‘career’ in the higher education sector in the context of prevailing career narratives eg: ladders, pipelines, trajectories…

We will use a simple mapping tool to explore our own potted career histories; to reflect on the factors which shape our working lives and to examine career archetypes and terminology more closely: the leaky pipeline, the glass ceiling, the glass cliff and the glass escalator. This informal session is suitable for staff in all types of role in the university and at all stages in their working life.
