Sustainability Education – A Westminster Learning Community

Sarah Chan You Fee, CETI Support Officer

October 8, 2021

Sustainability Education is a Pedagogic Research Community and our main work this year will be to attract membership across the University and to specify projects supporting embedding the UN Sustainable Development Goals in our curricula. Funding will be applied for the following year.

With the end of a macro economic cycle 1980 – 2020, ending in the Covid-19 crisis, we have a real opportunity for change, building understanding of climate change issues and their urgency and how solutions emerging can be used to inspire us – new products and services, Citizens Panels, and the promise of technology to enhance transparency and address social justice.

We hope you will join us, these are unprecedented times and it is now critical that sustainability is addressed and that broader objectives for educating our students are considered across the University.  We need to collaborate to achieve this, this new learning community is the first step.
