On the 1st October the Institute for Healthy Urban Living hosted a mentoring evening in collaboration with the the BioLadies Network. Ten of the BioLadies network met in the Institute. This was followed by some 30 students attended and met a range of inspirational potential mentors from the bio economy sectors. They also heard about the value of having a mentor and explored some of the divers career pathways undertaken by our highly experienced guests. Feedback was very positive and the Institute forHealthy Urban Living is planning further similar events with the BioLadies Network. The BioLadies network welcomes individuals of all genders and has representation from the full range of the bioeconomy. The Institute for Healthy Urban Living works with external parties to improve health and wellbeing in large cities around the world. Professor Brendon Noble, Director of the Institute said “we are delighted to have hosted the BioLadies Network and to have made a contribution to our students futures. We will definitely organise more events of this type”.
