Community Advisory Group Meeting 3

Community Event
We are hoping to run this in the coming weeks and will confirm a date as soon as we can!
Metadata, Persistent Identifiers (and a taxonomy) workshop – 26 May 2022
This event built on the work started at PIDAaplooza (Unheard voices: practice based arts research and the PID landscape), FORCE11 (Practice made Practical. Reducing the OTHER of non-text) and NISO Plus 2022 (Composing for the non-text infrastructure dance).
We were so pleased to get not only a wide range of participants working in this space, but also had project CoI Professor Helen Bailey speak from the perspective of a researcher.
Watch this space for a blog post on the event, including contributions from the British Library (on behalf of DataCite), CRediT and RAiD.
Community Advisory Group Meeting 2 – 19 May 2022
Meeting 2 took place a bit later than planned due to a few delays in data collection and brought together a wider range of representatives from both researcher communities and those in institututional support roles.
Led by project CoI Professor Helen Bailey, this meeting gave an update on data collection (from PI Jenny Evans) and shared some initial findings from the two surveys. Project team member Nina Watts gave a demonstration of one of the University of Westminster’s public portfolios and the PRVoices test repository system that has been set up by project technology partners Cayuse. Some interesting discussions took place in two break out groups.
Community Advisory Group Meeting 1 – 7 March 2022
The project’s Community Advisory Group has been brought together to act as ‘critical friends’ to the project. It’s membership intends to reflect the potential membership of a Practice Research Community of Practice and as such is formed of researchers and professional support services representatives.
This first meeting saw a slightly smaller group meet than was originally planned for a variety of reasons. We asked those able to join to give a quick update on who they were and their role. The project team talked through presentation given at the launch event, gave an update on the related projects (SPARKLE and CONNECTED) and the project work plan. We then looked at the survey questions and reviewed the plans for communicating the survey.
