The London Borough of Redbridge developed a manual which sets out all the main elements of introducing and implementing a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). Redbridge was one of the first in the country to adopt and introduce their charging schedule. As a London borough they will also have to implement the Mayoral CIL on the 1st April 2012. They have offered their handbook to the Planning Advisory Service which aims to update it with tools and further case studies from other charging authorities as experience of CIL spreads.

This report presents to outcomes of a meeting held by members of the LINKS project in Bayonne from 12-14 October 2011 which examined the economic implications of eco-restoration. The cities involved in LINKS project aim to replace their historical cities into a dynamic of residential attractiveness while preserving the architectural identity cultural heritage and historical values.
