Consultation on community infrastructure levy further reforms

This consultation seeks views on further regulatory reforms to the community infrastructure levy. By making these changes the Department for Communities and Local Government expect the levy will operate and roll out more effectively without the need for further major amendments. The consultation covers a range of amendments to the regulations related particularly to rate setting and the operation of the levy in practice. The proposed relief from paying the Community Infrastructure Levy would cover homes built or commissioned by individuals, families or groups of individuals for their own use and that will be owner-occupied. Comments are requested by 28 May 2013.
