Collaborative research for a changing climate

The Adaptation and Resilience to a Changing Climate Coordination Network (ARCC CN)  has published a guide to the collaborative process, based on the experiences of stakeholders and researchers from across the ARCC projects. Effective collaboration between all involved in a research project is essential to maximising the usefulness and value of outputs. This can be difficult to achieve where participants are drawn from different disciplines, cultures, and with a variety of motivations. The main report suggests that a flexible, open working relationship between researchers and stakeholders, established early and sustained throughout the project lifetime, is essential. So too is investing time and energy in understanding the value, expectations and contributions that all parties bring to the project.
