Reaching the emerging middle classes beyond BRIC

Many companies are beginning to look beyond BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China), into emerging markets that have a lot of untapped potential and seem poised for increased growth, year over year. This paper discusses the appeal of emerging markets beyond BRIC, examines why a focus on the middle class is mostly justified, finds out more about what this group of consumers is buying and why, and then closes with a brief overview of other factors not to be forgotten in any complete market-entry strategy.
