Ultra Low Emission Zone for London

The Mayor of London  and Transport for London have launched a public consultation on proposals to introduce the world’s first Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) in the capital on 7 September 2020, to significantly improve air quality and in turn the health of Londoners. Waste management in England

The Government must act to increase recycling rates across England by 2020, according to a report from the House of Commons Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee. MPs also call on Government to ensure that only genuinely residual waste is sent to energy-from-waste plants and to do more to encourage the use of heat outputs from such facilities to improve the overall energy efficiency of this waste management method.
